Slightly funny one to admit, but I plan a lot of my holidays around good branding - and I’m not sorry about it.
I’m currently planning the details of my trip to the South of France in a couple of weeks, and it made me realise how long I’ve been doing this for. Sometimes a well designed brand dictates the whole trip - hello Halse Lodge, Noosa - and other times I’ll spend hours properly researching the coolest coffee shops, little boutiques or beautiful eateries around the area I’ve chosen.

My latest mock brand project was built on a grey June morning, which is perhaps exactly why she needed to exist.This one felt so easy to create because it's linked so closely to things I follow and believe. You will generally never see me without my gold and silver rings, chains, bracelets and earrings, things I've lovingly collected over time and plan to wear forever - to the point I lost my Daniella Draper silver signet ring in the sea last year because I refused to take it off…

It’s a golden hour dog walk listening to the birds, sunset swims at my favourite beach with my favourite people, watching the sun dance on the water. It’s finding a new favourite coffee spot, or a shop that sells beautiful things that I want to take home. It’s setting a table for dinner with friends, using the fancy napkins and lighting candles because why not? It’s looking at the sky when it’s just got dark, and feeling so tiny and small compared to the stars.

My time in Sydney and Bondi was pretty short and sweet, a gentle way to ease myself into this trip of solo travel and adventure. I spent much of my time lying in the sun, eating and drinking my way around town, and just soaking up the aesthetics.
